Entrance Porch

The porch is only tiny but with coat hooks, boot rack and umbrella stand there is plenty of storage.
There is also an electric heater to help dry out damp gear ready for the next day.

Sitting Room

The focal point of the sitting room is definitely the wood burning stove. It is great to light it on a cold winters day but also on a summers evening when you don’t want the heating on but there is a bit of a chill in the air.
The room can comfortably seat five adults on two chairs and a three seater sofa and there is plenty of floor space for a dog or two as well.

There are lamps if you want subtle lighting and plenty of books, maps, games and DVDs to help you while away an evening or a rainy afternoon.
The room also contains a book case, dresser and antique chest of drawers, a TV with freeview & DVD player, MP3 docking, fire guard, foot stool, firewood basket, side tables and a toy basket.

There is also wifi internet access available, so bring your laptop and you can surf the net or work online as much as you like.

Looking out of the window you get great views across to Chinley Churn and down the valley towards Bugsworth Canal Basin.

The kitchen, like the rest of the house, has been newly renovated. It now contains beautiful handmade cottage kitchen units a ceramic 1.5 bowl sink, new appliances (Dish washer – slimline, Washing machine, Cooker – gas hob electric oven) and farmhouse table and chairs for 5 people.

The kitchen also contains a microwave oven, fridge freezer, DAB digital radio, electric kettle, toaster, sandwich toaster and hand blender.
Add in a wide range of pots, pans, glasses and cooking utensils and you should find just about everything you need to cook, eat, wash up and do your laundry.

Oh and the view from the window makes peeling potatoes a pleasure!
