So many of our guests love it – we hope you will too.
We have had the most amazing time. The cottage and location are fabulous, it has everything you could need. The boys have loved the basket of toys and Max (the dog) has made some great friends on the playing fields. We will definitely be coming back. We don’t want to go home!

There are lots of Peak District Holiday Cottages to Choose from
So lets be up front about this – We don’t have a hot tub, swimming pool or off road parking.
What we do have though is a cosy and really well equipped characterful cottage. It’s in a great location where you can be out walking or cycling in open countryside in minutes. You can walk to our local dog friendly pub or be down in the historic Bugsworth Basin watching the boats and feeding the ducks in less than 5 minutes.

Deep Mid-Wicket is a 130 year old quarry workers’ cottage, located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, in the small village of Buxworth. In a quiet location opposite the village cricket green and very close to the historic Bugsworth Basin, the cottage makes a great base for exploring the Peak District.
There are lots of Peak District holiday cottages online but we are so please we chose this one. It’s well fitted out and in a lovely location so it made a great base for visiting family in Whaley Bridge and seeing a bit more of the area.

I own Deep Mid-Wicket along with my husband. He did a majority of the hard labor involved in the renovation and I did most of the tiling and the pretty stuff.
I now run the business and he fixes things that get broken!
